Holy Family Parish Church.
Situated on Kill Avenue near the crossroads junction with Abbey
Road,
Rochestown Avenue and Kill
Lane. The Holy Family Parish church is an
imposing building of brick
with added white architectural
trim, which
gives the building a prominent and lasting feeling to it.
Its surrounding grounds are open and well kept with more than
ample parking space. To the side and rear of the building is the
Blessed Sacrament Chapel which is a quiet and peaceful area
during most weekday afternoons.
Internal aspects to follow
The church is still in practical daily use, with the mornings given
over to Mass,
some Rosary groups in some
churches, and funerals. So unless I intended to
fully attend mass I
would normally keep my three
Saints
visits to the
afternoons, this is after the 12noon Angelus and before 3.30pm approximately.
