The Baptismal Font.
On a lot of occasions fonts are situated near the entrance doors
but not always. This particular beautiful font is placed near the altar
and also close to the north transept.
A font holds consecrated water when in use. The font is used in the
baptism of newcomers to the Catholic church (usually infants).
