In Dun Laogahire. The shrine in general in a church is dedicated

to a specific saint or deity. They are usually positioned around

the walls of the aisles of a church, with less frequently being

placed in the transepts. Here in Dun Laoghaire as there is not

the usual cruciform shape to the church the shrines are mainly

placed along the walls either side of the altar.
